Spinney/Antero Reservoir
Spinney Reservoir is managed as a trophy trout lake. It has incredible Rainbows and Browns that often exceed 20 inches in length. The Callibaetis hatch is one of the best in the Southern Rockies and 50 fish days are certainly possible.
Antero is not a classic fly fishing lake in that all legal methods of taking fish are allowed including bait. Most of us don't let that bother us so much as we are too busy landing fish that can be in the ten pound class. Big Rainbows, Cuttbows and the occasional lunker brown can put a serious bend in your rod.
