Casting Stimulators over brookies high in the mountains, stripping crawdads over pre-spawn larrys on the local lake, drifting eggs in front of dropback steelhead, or tightlining a nymph on your favorite wild trout stream, Scott’s all-new Session family of rods is equipped to handle every fishy situation you find yourself in. The Session combines Scott’s latest technologies like ReAct, ARC 2 and Carbon Link to create a rod that has exceptional line speed, fine-tuned loop control, and accuracy like no other, all in a lightweight package. And for practical convenience, the Session has a new grip construction and a hook keeper so your fly is always waiting for those in-the-heat-of-the-moment-presentations. The Session is built in Montrose, Colorado in line weights 8 through 3 in various lengths, so you have an option for nearly every freshwater fishing session you’d find yourself in.

Blank

ReAct Technology - To provide flawless accuracy, impressive line speed, and complete control, Scott begins their Session Rods with ReAct technology. ReAct Technology combines Scott’s X-Core technology with a clean taper and complex materials to give your rod swift recovery, so you never need to worry about those subtle vibrations killing feel or compromising your energy.

Multi-Modulus - The Session also features Scott’s Multi-Modulus design. Their Multi-Modulus construction consists of a fine-tuned taper with varied tensile modulus throughout the blank–this translates to precision-focused stiffness, quick recovery, and ultimately, smooth loading and unloading of each cast.

ARC 2 - Scott has been incorporating super lightweight unidirectional carbon fiber reinforcements for over 15  years, and their latest version, ARC 2 (Advanced Reinforced Carbon), drastically decreases weight while greatly improving hoop strength, directional stability, and the accuracy of your cast.

Carbon Link - All of this rod’s magic is bound together by Scott’s Carbon Link tech, which is a combo of precise construction techniques and a new resin system that creates a much lighter and more efficient rod.

As much as Scott’s Session is built around performance, there’s no doubt that it also offers quite the aesthetic appeal. With Scott’s subtle grey Natural Finish, accenting green thread wraps, and even the dyed Elder wood insert on the reel seat, this rod is as classy as it is functional. And not only does Scott’s Natural Finish contribute to a solid appearance, but it also works to enhance durability by leaving the exterior powerful fiber in the blank. Oh, and with an added hook keeper, convenience is always there as you navigate to the next pool.

Guides

Silicone Nitride Stripping Guides - A solid choice for the Session, the Silicone Nitride Stripping Guides are ultra-smooth, super durable, and ready to help you launch flies across the bank with ease.

Light Wire Snake Guides - Designed to shed weight while letting your line rip freely through the guides, Scott uses Light Wire Snake Guides to finish off their Session Fly Rod. Not only are these guides performance-forward but they’re made to reduce glare so you don’t spook that rising trout on an ultra-clear spring creek before you even get your first cast off.

Reel Seat

Custom Machined Aluminum Reel Seat w/ Dyed Box Elder Wood Insert - Toeing the line between function and aesthetic, Scott’s Session Rods feature a lightweight custom machined aluminum reel seat that locks your reel in no matter how tough the day gets. And with its dyed green Box Elder insert, this rod provides elegance that’s backed by quality components and long-lasting performance.

Rod Tube

Scott packages their Session in a hard rod tube. This tube is perfect for the traveling angler and it also gives a great place for your rod to rest when you’re not on the water.
