This is a perfect example of an uncased Brachycentrus larva before it pupates. Fish it deep behind a heavy Stonefly nymph in the early mornings during spring.

This jig head (with gold bead) variation of the San Juan Worm imitates an aquatic worm, an important food source for trout. Overall, it's a good attractor pattern that trout really seem to like, with the added benefit of the jig hook.

The standard chinille San Juan Worm

Give your egg pattern a little flash. Sometimes it helps when fishing to big selective fish.

This epoxy fly has the qualities to represent an orange scud in any condition. Slightly paler than Bighorn orange. More like a dying scud.

We would not go to the Big Horn without a pocket full of the orange ones. Same goes for most tailwaters with the tan one.
